Prolotherapy is an effective and non-invasive therapy for the
treatment of musculo-skeletal stiffness and pain. Prolotherapy
utilizes targeted injections to produce a mild and controlled
inflammatory response in the body, stimulating the growth of new cells and focusing the body's own healing mechanisms. This strengthens ligaments and tendons, promoting stability and reducing pain.

Prolotherapy is technique for treating chronic musculoskeletal pain. It works by stimulating the body's own healing process to repair injured or weakened tissues. New tissue is formed resulting in strengthening of the effected area.

Prolotherapy treats the causes of many musculo-skeletal conditions, without producing the side effects or complications associated with steroid therapy or surgery. As such, it is an excellent option for treating conditions such as:

  • Back Pain
  • Neck Pain
  • Shoulder Pain
  • Rotator Cuff
  • Tendonitis
  • Sprains / Strains
  • Sports Injuries
  • Sciatica
  • Tennis Elbow
  • Rotator Cuff
  • TMJ
  • Arthritis
  • Ankle Sprain
  • Knee Pain
  • Sacroiliac Pain

Injections typically contain a dextrose solution and an anesthetic such as lidocaine. Depending on the patient's condition, Dr. Gordon may add vitamin B12, glucosamine or a homeopathic medicine to further promote healing. Every injection is specifically tailored to meet the patient's needs and maximize healing. Most patients find that the discomfort of the injection is mild and passes rapidly. Pain from the inflammatory response can be reduced with Tylenol.
